Healthy Children grow up to shape their communities and the world.

The National Center for Health Statistics reports that healthy children are more capable in the classroom and have more energy to learn.

An unhealthy lifestyle is consistently linked to poor grades, low test scores, and a "lower educational attachment." Academic success directly correlates with the overall well-being of a child and is also an indicator of adult health.

South Los Angeles is home to the state's highest levels of childhood obesity. Over 50% of the population aged 2-19 years is obese. Fresh Faces aims to rectify that statistic by engaging the children of South Los Angeles in developing lifelong healthy eating habits and unfold active lifestyles.

Fresh Faces works with elementary schools to empower kids to take control of their health by leading energetic lives and making positive food choices.
